Three outsiders of their respective societies meet each other under mysterious circumstances and walk the same path from then on: A magician who can't return to his world, a warrior with the name of Kurogane, who is not allowed return to his dimension, and the young Shaoran, who was send to the various dimensions by his priest in order to find the lost soul (in form of feathers) of his youth friend Sakura, which is scattered all over the place after a strange attack. Together, they visit the witch of the dimensions, who lets them travel if they leave their dearest objects as a deposit.
