For all who thought that Disney would never release a movie where Santa Claus is kidnapped and tortured - here it is! The whole titled is called "Tim Burton's the Nightmare Before Christmas" and already foreshadows what this puppet musical fantasy horror comedy is all about.
The movie is based on the characters created by Tim Burton. The ex-Disney illustrator is known for Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands and the first two Batman movies, later for Mars Attacks! and Sleepy Hollow. Burton's love for shocking elements in comedy dominates the story about Jack Skellington (voiced by the composer and songwriter of the movie, Danny Elfman), who lives in Halloween town and suddenly finds himself in a strange and fascinating counter world.
