"Ummagumma", un terme d'argot pour qualifier les relations sexuelles, était un split album à bien des niveaux en 1969 : le LP studio a permis à chaque membre du groupe de s'approprier une face, par exemple avec des boucles. Le LP live contient quatre classiques extrêmement rallongés.
