von Jürgen Tschamler (03.01.2012) Es geht in die achte Runde der Monsters Of Metal-Serie. Und wie schon auf den Vorgängern gibt es hier massig „Value for money“. Sage und schreibe 90 (!!!!!!!) Videoclips wurden hier auf zwei DVDs (plus eine Blu-Ray) im edlen Digibook-Format zusammengefasst. Stilübergreifend und äußerst vielseitig wird hier wieder für jeden musikalischen Geschmack etwas geboten. Gerade diese unglaubliche musikalische Vielfalt macht MOM so sehens- bzw. hörenswert. Altbekannte Bands werden mit jungen Hoffnungsträgern kreuz und quer vermischt. Langweile ist da ein Fremdwort. Ob Dream Theater, Edguy, Nightwish, Gotthard, Powerwolf, Sabaton, Steel Wing, Bullet, Accept, Immortal, Skullfist, Machine Head, Trivium, Death Angel, Agnostic Front, Madball, Hammerfall, Dimmu Borgir, Armored Saint, Arch Enemy…. die unendliche Liste liest sich wie ein „Who is who“ der derzeitigen Metalszene. Selbst was äußerst Exotisches wie Channel Zero findet sich zwischen all den etablierten Bands wieder. Der Rundumschlag gegen die spärlichen Musik-TV-Sender, die mit so einer geballten Power nicht mithalten können. Der Overkill für die Sinne!
